The Multicultural Psychotherapy Training Institute (MPTI) provides high-quality clinical training for graduate students seeking their Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health discipline. Trainees will, under the supervision of Training Director Renea Lynn, Psy.D., provide therapy and collateral mental health services to children and families in our Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program. Trainees will receive weekly individual and group supervision as well as opportunities to receive training in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

The MPTI can support interns seeking both full-time and part-time clinical placements.

La Familia’s Training Program was established in 1993 and evolved to include Master’s students, Doctoral practicum trainees, and Doctoral students seeking both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training. Many of our current management staff got their start at La Familia in the MPTI – including our CPO, Carolynn Langsdale, Psy.D.
