is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY28452). Dr. Johnson first joined La Familia as a trainee during her graduate studies in 2008, having left corporate America to follow her passion for helping the underserved communities from a psychological perspective. Dr. Johnson has devoted her psychological studies and career to complex trauma, Spanish-speaking children and families, and those marginalized due to their gender and/or sexuality. In her current role, Dr. Johnson directs the work of interns in the Multicultural Psychotherapy Training Institute, which has been recently reinstated at La Familia. Dr. Johnson also brings a background in training and business consulting from her time at Deloitte prior to pursuing psychology. Dr. Johnson employs evidence based practices as well as assists in the creation of new assessment tools, including co-developing the first youth gender assessment tools in circulation with UCSF’s Child and Adolescent Gender Center.
