We are grateful to have administered more than 3,000 vaccines at our Cherryland site to our community members recently through a coordinated effort among federal and local officials and groups

2nd Vaccine Dose Information

All individuals who received their first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine at our Cherryland site at 20095 Mission Blvd Hayward, from March 1-10, will receive their second dose at the same site 3 weeks from whichever date they received their first dose AND during the same time slot. Our staff will reach out to you a few days beforehand to remind you about the need to return. Community members can also find an appointment reminder on the back of their vaccination cards that they received from their first visit.


NOTE: Your vaccination cards are required with you to receive your second vaccination dose.

COVID-19 Testing

We are offering COVID-19 testing to our community members to ensure that they have access to this important resource to help everyone ensure that they have accurate information about their health status.

 

Are you wondering if you might have COVID-19? Please review information from the Centers for Disease Control here about what to do if you feel sick.

Please review by site below for testing hours AND site closures for holidays.

 

Here are some of the recommendations they make:

When to seek emergency medical attention:

Look for emergency warning signs* for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

Trouble breathing

Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

New confusion

Inability to wake or stay awake

Bluish lips or face

*This list is not all possible symptoms. Please call your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.

Call 911 or call ahead to your local emergency facility: Notify the operator that you are seeking care for someone who has or may have COVID-19.

Call 911 or head to your local emergency facility if you have any of the “emergency warning signs” listed above

 

The CDC website has important information about what to do if you are sick.

Some of these recommendations include:

  • Stay home except to get medical care
  • Take care of yourself – get enough rest and pay attention to your symptoms
  • Stay in touch with your doctor and follow their instructions
  • Separate yourself from other people
  • Wear a mask unless you are alone
  • Wash your hands

    • Upcoming holiday closures: Monday March 29
  • Appointments are not available at this time - DROP IN ONLY
  • Ages: 13+
  • Bring: Insurance information (if applicable), photo identification (California ID or Driver's License preferred)
    • Note: none of these are required to receive testing, but it ensures that we can continue to provide the testing for as long as possible

In this partnership with the City of Hayward and Hayward Fire Department, we are completing testing at the Skywest Golf Course located at 1401 Golf Course Rd, Hayward, CA 94541.

  • Hours: 9:00 - 3:30, Monday-Friday
  • Appointments are not available at this time - DROP IN ONLY
  • Ages: 13+
  • Bring: Insurance information (if applicable), photo identification (California ID or Driver's License preferred)
    • Note: ONE of these is required to be tested at this site; if you do not have one, we recommend going to the Cherryland site instead

Family Support Funds

FAMILY SUPPORT FUNDS Update: The 2nd round of the Hayward FSF Application and the 1st round of the Tri-Valley FSF Application are now closed. Thank you for applying. We will be in touch with applicants beginning next week and over the next several weeks.


About the fund: The Family Support Fund will provide $500 cash grants to people who experienced economic loss and are not eligible to received government aid during the COVID-19 crisis.

COVID-19 Update: La Familia is open and continues to provide Essential Services, including mental health and other crucial social services.
