Director of Adult Behavioral Health


Carla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or LCSW (LCS 22154) with 2 decades of social service and behavioral health experience.   Carla joined La Familia in October of 2021, having served as the Special Populations Manager for the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern California.  Previously, she has also worked as an Emergency Room Social Worker at a public hospital, a clinician for Behavioral Health in Merced County, the Director of Social Services at Fremont Hospital, and a Clinical Supervisor for Fred Finch Youth Center and JFK University’s Holistic Counseling Center in Oakland.  Over the course of her career, Carla has focused on serving underserved and underrepresented populations, with a focus on multigenerational trauma’s impact on the individual and family system, along with an emphasis on the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection that is central to person centered care.
