La Familia was honored to receive the AT&T investing in California Award on Friday, November 4th, for the essential services and programs they have provided to improving lives in their communities. Daren Chan with AT&T and Honorary Assembly member Bill Quirk presented the awards to five recipients, La Familia, Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments, Ruby’s Place, Eden Youth and Family Center and Day Labor Center.
The purpose of the award was to provide resources and recognition to organizations and programs that are improving lives in their communities and the state by advancing economic growth, educational opportunities and new technologies.
Aaron Ortiz, CEO of La Familia and Agustin Arteaga, Jr., a board member with La Familia excepted the award.
